Who am I?

I am a lecturer in the School of Computing, University of Leeds where I am a member of the Knowledge Representation and Reasoning group within the Artificial Intelligence division: http://www.comp.leeds.ac.uk/

I am a member of the AWESOME team participating in Emerge and focusing on Academic Writing in Socially Mediated Online Environments.

Education: BSc & MSc in Mathematics/Computer Science (both from Bulgaria), and PhD in Artificial Intelligence in Education (Leeds, UK).

My interest and experience are in design, development, and evaluation of interactive learning environments which promote effective ways of learning and teaching. With colleagues and research students I have been applying Artificial Intelligence methods (such as ontological reasoning, fuzzy techniques, and data mining) to derive models of individual users, groups, and communities. Recently, I have been involved in projects developing tools to support community-driven approaches for collaborative writing, which is my contribution to the AWESOME team.

Interests
