I work at Salford University as an information systems academic with an interest in e-learning, particularly learning through social networks and online communities. I have a particular interest in the space between the education and information systems disciplines where learning technology can be situated so that all three can benefit from each other. Through Emerge, I hope to join in interesting projects to which I can make a meaningful contribution, funded by JISC! Based on my work with CABWEB, [http://www.cabweb.net], I am keen to see the role of dialogic communities in sharing of ideas and resources by educators.
