  2. Hi Frances, this looks really interesting although ufortunately I am unable to attend. I am especially interested in the ' Research into Social Networking Workshop' as I am currently in a collaboration at Manchester Uni looking at securing funding to run a social network here (prob ELGG) and we would be looking to provide some qualitative and (perhaps) quantitative data about the project.

The second workshop is also of interest as part of our bid is look at social networking in terms of reducing isolation and increasing participation with p/t Post Grads and Post grads working at some distance from the institution.

Any feedback, (slides, blog etc) would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Thanks Cristina,

Things will be a little quiet until July but then you'll see what we have planned.

I am not sure if Mike Thelwall will provide slides but will announc on knowandnetwork if he does.

Why don't you come over one day to Salford to talk to me and beryl Burns about the social networking.  Cristina might like to join us too as she works on the virtual doctoral school at Salford.
