Now don't get me wrong! I have nothing against men with beards - the love of my life has a beard - but I do have to point out that the front page of Emerge is in danger of being overrun by men with beards (so much more exciting if it was overrun by women with or without beards).

Just a quick note about bearded women:
In Portugal we usually use the expression Thick Bearded Women to refer to women who are educated, hard-working, courageous and sharp in their decisions and actions. In other words, someone you don’t really want to mess up with, but that you kind of look up to; Sophisticated, independent women.
On the other hand, if you go to the interior part of the country you will also find another type of "Thick Bearded Women". These are the countryside older women who have worked a life time from sunrise to sunset. They have raised their kids while they worked in the fields, are as tough as the city women, but they have never really bothered about their looks and some of them really do have a kind of a beard. YIKES!
