Emerging Debate: Actor Networks and Connectivism

Frances Bell posted to Emerge noting the similarity between Actor Network Theory and Connectivism. I replied, "snap" because I, too (and many others: I claim no primacy), had noticed this. Frances' full post, "Is Connectivism a Learning Network" is here. I have replied to her and posted a discussion on Actor Network Theory. I fear we may be doing what academics do best: creating difference where there is similarity; finding the gap and driving that cigarette paper home. I do think Connectivism will benefit from some theoretical testing.
