Emerge gets a Moodle

I am very excited about this. We have a Moodle. I really am announcing this prematurely because the integration with Elgg is not done and your accounts will not yet be transferred across but having spent much of the past fortnight wrangling with the platform for the Online activity days 5, 6, 7 June, it is very satisfying to see it taking shape. If you want a sneak preview go here: http://jiscemerge.org.uk/vle/. There is only one "course" you can select:  "Online activity days - 5, 6, 7 June 2007". Click on the link and "log in as a guest". This will all change tomorrow of course so please be fault tolerant. Any comments, queries, advice or suggestions please comment to this post.

  2. I've been forced to use Moodle for research coordination and its been nothing but inconvenience and disappointment - it really is a VLE and not a collaboration toolkit. 

    (And don't get me started on its excuse for a 'wiki'.)

    Scott we can start discussing about wikis, because while within the VLE possibilities Moodle is my favourite, I do prefer open, gate-less applications, like blogs and wikis!
