Graham Attwell :: Blog :: The Emerging Sounds of the Bazaar

April 22, 2008

With only a day to go befiore the Emerge on-line conference, it seems time to tell you what our Benefits Realisation project, the Emerge Bazaar will be doing at the conference. On Thursday at 1600 UK we are launching the Emerge Bazaar with an hour long LIVE webcast / radio programme. Steve Warburton will be explaining what the Bazaar project is all about, I will be interviewing people from some of the Emerge projects and we will have a live phone (OK, Skype) in session on emerging issues in technology Enhanced Learning. Plus music, compettions and we hope a poet LIVE.

Of course you can just settle back with a well earned cup of tea and listen to the show. But we would love you to be involved. There are three ways you can particpate. We will be running a chat room in paralel wth the programme - I will post the url later. Or you can email me on graham10@mac.com, text me on 00491797650986, or you can talk thorugh text or audio on skype. If you would like to come on the show to give your views, make sure that I am on your skype list. My skype name is GrahamAttwell.

And make sure you have a headset ready.

The Thursday show is the fourth we have run this week in our LIVE radio Fest. Saturday wasn't bad, Sunday we technically screwed up and Monday's show was great. If you missed the show live you can listen to the podcast recording on the Pontydysgu web site.

  4. Earthcast-athon was just GREAT!

Recordings of the show will be posted here soon: http://enviroscims.wikispaces.com/Earth+Day

I can hardly keep my eyes open - but the sense of achievement and the bonds (and sense of collective) developed with all the people involved throughout the pre-event and during the day is just above this "mortal weakness"  of having the need to rest and sleep.

What a great event to bring teacher and students together. What a meaningful way to collaborate and, in a way, make a difference.
