What a coincidence!
Yesterday a friend of mine was asking me about ePortfolios and if I could provide some examples of ePortfolios in K12.
In the end, I came to understand that what she was aiming at was more related to what Serge described in the beginning of the conversation: “a paperless portfolio.”
While we were discussing about ePortfolios I started to google about this topic. I must confess I don’t have a deep knowledge about it, but my understanding is that an ePortfolio is not only about a way of organizing data about one’s learning path , but also the reflection one is able to “produce” about his/her learning journey and experiences.
That was not exactly what she was looking for. She was more inclined to have students create a website…
Anyway, I came up with a few links about it, which I find interesting:

Still referring to Serge’s talk, I especially liked the thought of using technology “to value the individual” and for the individual to find and develop his/her digital identity.
And being the learning process all about constructing one’s identity, this same identity is developed by establishing connections with others.
I couldn’t agree more: Learning in community, while being an individual, and developing an ID, in a given group. PLE’s coming together, and becoming the POLE!
It sounds good.
Looking forward to hearing more about the conference.
Is there going to be a virtual/online version of the conference for the ones who won’t be able to attend f2f?
