This is the third of the special editions of the Emerging Sounds podcast providing guidance for community members on the call issued this month under the Users and Innovation programme. 

This edition features an interview with Chris Fowler. Chris leads the Emerge team working on the Users and Innovation Development Model (UIDM).

The JISC Users and Innovation programme is piloting new approaches to development cycles through its development model, which is designed to increase the level of user engagement to ensure that the innovative development of technology is integrated with corresponding innovation in practices and processes.

Chris talks about the different stages in the UIDM cycle and offers practical advice on undertaking stage 1 of the model in preparing bids. He goes on to outline what support is available for community members.
