Picked this web app from a friend's facebook page and I love it - http://flickrvision.com/

Just a fleeting glimpse of strangers' lives and interests - a wedding, holidays, landscapes, a baby - but somehow the sense of connection generated by this is far greater and more rapid than is usual with conventional views of Flickr.

Perhaps we could learn something from this for Emerge... not sure if I am alone but I'm still struggling to even get a sense of who is here....

    I fully agree; its a problem with elgg that its hard to get a picture of who's here, and we (as a proto-community) need to find a way around it.
