John Pallister :: Blog :: A Free ePortfolio course

April 30, 2008

I am using the MOSEP Tutorials to design a one-day introductory course for teachers new to the ePortfolio Process. The idea is that the course could either provide the structure and resources for ‘one day’, face to face delivery, or be an online course that teachers could work through independently.

I am currently working on the course at http://wikieducator.org/MOSEP:_UK_One_Day_Introduction_-_Session_1  .
I would be grateful for any advice, suggestions and ideas. I am hoping to complete it by 10th May and would be very interested  to hear from anyone who has an opportunity to try it out with  teachers/trainee teachers in the near future.

Have I included the all of the topics/issues/content that you think teachers should look at during an introductory course? - what have I missed?

What type of activities could I include that might make the course more engaging, bearing in mind the requirement for it to appropriate for either face to face delivery or individual, online consumption?

Have you any links to resources that might be useful, need to some more, de-personalised, examples of what ePortfolios might look like?

This is your opportunity, as a community, to contribute to the development of a 'course'  that ‘might’ help teachers to harness the potential of the ePortfolio Process. The Professional Development of teachers has been identified, in many discussions, as a major issue.
