Just a quick note to let you all know that George Siemens will be keynoting at our conference, Online Communities and Online Identities on April 23rd. Georges rather susinct wikipedia entry reads:
George Siemens is a well-known theorist on the changing nature of learning in a digitally-based society. He is the author of a widely cited article Connectivism: A Learning Theory for the Digital Age and the book Knowing Knowledge - an exploration of the impact of the changed context and characteristics of knowledge.
Born in Mexico, currently living and working in Canada, George is the Associate Director in the Learning Technologies Centre at the University of Manitoba.
We're obviously delighted to have snagged him for our conference
