• Enable other teams and individuals to better understand your work and create connections and develop conversations around themes and interests.
• Work together using the Emerge platform to produce a team ‘directory entry’ which can be accessed from the Emerge site.
• Look at creative ways of using the platform and drawing in the use of other tools in order to showcase your teams research and activity.
• To spark preparation and brainstorming around the activity, presentation or discussion your team (or your team in collaboration with other Emerge community members) would like to host at the Emerge conference in Manchester on the 10th of July – our celebration and consolidation of the community’s practice.
People who have been identified as primary contacts for their teams have already been contacted by email to coordinate and send in their teams entry.
You can be as imaginative as you like in how you create your entry, and use a variety of online tools. Your entry might consist of interviews, audio or video you post to site or to another video hosting site, a Flickr presentation or PowerPoint, a series of blog posts – which ever format you feel best is able to capture the interesting and exciting work you team is currently carrying out and planning to do.
The best entries will be highlighted during our forthcoming online activity days – providing team members with the opportunity to present and discuss their ideas directly with the wider community, either on the 6th or 7th of June.
All teams are asked to produce one presentation slide summarising or representing their activities and interests, for the community project showcase session which will kick-start our forthcoming online activity days on June 5th, 10.30am to 12.30am. All of the teams will be given the opportunity to speak to their slide, either via audio or text, and there will be opportunities to ask questions and to chat with the rest of the community.
