'Experiencing Emerge', the report of seven interviews with Emerge members about their experiences of being part of the Emerge community, is now available from the Appreciative Inquiry part of the Moodle site. You'll see that is based on a collection of 'stories' from community members which is part of our AI approach. If you'd like to share your own story, you can add it alongside the others in the Activity 8 space.
The report confirms that Emerge is providing useful networking opportunities through organised events. Members have particularly benefitted from the Dragon's Den type opportunities to present their project ideas and get feedback - and there is another one of these coming up in April for you to take advantage of.
There are things for us to consider too as we continue to build this community. We need to share our purposes clearly, to involve a broad range of members who have a variety of roles, to make public the personal development spin-offs of being part of this group, and to scaffold the experience for new members - especially through the ongoing development of our shared online spaces.
We hope to be collecting sets of stories like these at regular times thoughout the coming year. If you'd like to be involved in the process of collecting these, please let me know.
