Roddy MacLeod :: Blog :: What journal publishers should know about RSS feeds

November 19, 2008

An informative article by Lisa Rogers has been published in FUMSI.

RSS and Scholarly Journal Tables of Contents: the ticTOCs Project, and Good Practice Guidelines for Publishers

As well as looking at journal Table of Contents RSS feeds and how ticTOCs is developing its service, the article gives some detailed guidelines for publishers on best practice for TOC RSS feeds. This article should be of great interest to any journal publisher, and help to ensure that journal TOC RSS feeds become more standardised.

Slides from Lisa's presentation given at an RSS, Blogging and Podcasting seminar in Glasgow last month, Advanced Uses of RSS Feeds and a look at the Future, are also available.
