Steven Warburton :: Blog :: Second Life event 'What not to Rez' locations and details and Emerge Bazaar launch

April 24, 2008

Day 2 at the online conference and I want to flag two items ... the launch of the Emerge Bazzar at 4pm coming live from Radio Bazaar (http://vle.jiscemerge.org.uk/mod/resource/view.php?id=215) with your genial host Graham Attwell. Then in the evening  the big event, our 'What Not to Rez Fashion Show' and a chance for all of our community to show off those lovely avatars :). Its designed as fun event and a chance to shift focus of the nature of digital identities to our virtual creations. The running order for the event simple: gathering at the Emerge Island from 7pm UK time with our volunteer models walking the runway at around 7.30pm followed by a quick change of furniture and into dance mode until 9pm. We want to keep an eye on numbers so if you have a moment plese sign up on the wiki and if you want to stut down the catwalk just let us know :)

  1. Is it possible to watch what you are all doing without having a 2nd life avatar?

  2. Someone else asked about streaming outside the platform - I don't think this has been set up Rebecca :( However! The good new is is that we will be taking loads of pictures and Steven will be talking about the event in his session tomorrow on Digital Identity.

  3. In line with the themes of the conference, I turned up but not as myself:

Not sure if that's acceptable or not, but there's a nice piccie of Josie anyway.
