Anyone figured out how to get an RSS feed for the overall site?

  1. Hi Tony, try this

    Paste: http://emerge.elgg.org/_weblog/everyone.php

    into: http://page2rss.com/

Creates a link that can be read by a feed reader

Might work for monitoring the site in e.g. PageFlakes

  2. That page2rss link doesn't work.

For parsing software, there is a general problem in the number of links to be discarded from the all posts page. My favorite feed maker can't deal with elgg.

Unless Curverider fixes this problem by supplying an all-posts feed, or fixes the site home page, we are left with the problem that posts are made 'too frequently' (lol) and they just slide off the home page before they are seen.

One external fix involves a server with a cron job that runs a perl program regularly to make an RSS feed, and then this could be viewed in a number of interesting Web 2.0 utilities.

  3. Maybe it just takes a while to set itself up - I've got George & Josie's posts today.
