David White :: Blog :: How Not to Meet

May 19, 2008

A project meeting in Second Life? How novel! How cutting-edge!  What a disaster. Well, I suppose we all learned something from it but when the scenario is as follows…

  • 3 people with text, speakers and mics
  • 1 person with text and speakers
  • 1 person with text

…it becomes quite tricky, especially as I pushed for everyone to use voice. See http://www.openhabitat.org/blogfeed/blogspot/exploring-incorrect-behaviour for more on this. You might also want to catch-up on how we are doing with our first pilot as well...

  1. It's a great post David - it made me wonder why you decided not to syndicate over here directly? It's exactly the kind of post that most of the projects here would appreciate (well I think so - what about others?). I've noticed a few of the projects are posting to their own blogs but not running their feeds through the Emerge platform, I think its a shame.

  2. I was hoping to feed our posts via the (Open) Habitat community area of this site but I'm not too sure if that's up and running yet?
